Career in professional kickboxing: In May 2010, Adesanya defeated Tim Atonio by unanimous decision to begin his seven-fight winning streak. Before switching to mixed martial arts, his final kickboxing fight was a rematch with Alex Pereira at Glory of Heroes 7. After dropping Adesanya with a short left hook in the third round, Pereira won the fight by knockout.
