Choosing a name for a child can be one of the most difficult decisions a parent will make when a child is born but you're choosing this unique name for your baby probably because you want him to be different and one-of-a-kind. Your child is your reflection. So whatever name you choose for them will not just have an effect on them but will also reveal some traits and interesting details about you as well.

“I regret my daughter’s name, people assume she’s a boy and pronounce it wrong”

A mum took to tiktok saying that she regrets the name she chose for her daughter for several reasons. 
One of these reasons being that no one can pronounce it correctly and most people mispronounce it and assume she's a boy. 
 The mother said, "My first daughter's name is Akane, we got her name from an anime I watched as a child." 
The name Akane means “Deep red” in Japanese and is associated with “Rubia cordifolia” (the red dye made from its roots). Akane is a female Japanese given name, ranked #9 of names to give girls in Japan. In fiction, the name Akane has been used for various characters in anime, manga, games, books, and comics. This name is pronounced as AH-kah-neh.
This mum added that her other five-year-old daughter also has an unusual name - Zayuri. 
She explained that Zayuri's name is pronounced with an "s" sound at the beginning and people always make that mistake too. Zayuri is a female Japanese given name and it means “Lily or Small Japanese”. This name is pronounced as SA-yuh-ri.
It can be hard to remember that everyone will always have an opinion about everything. But it doesn’t mean those particular opinions have to hold any weight! It may feel like you are making millions of decisions but having a good person or group to use as a soundboard can be helpful.
Names have a way of just fitting those they are given to. Zion ends up looking like a Zion, and he will be as heavenly as his name implies. Calista will be as beautiful as her name is. But, in the end, the only opinion that matters is yours!
